dude, i can only tell you that the man is blogging -
if i could actually make him write, i would have been a rich woman a looong time ago
but good hassle there, Bruce,
keep up the chatter - it seems to be working
hey, didn't you see how excited he got when he heard your birthday was fast approachin'?!
cause that fucker likes CAKE
make a wish and blow me for whoever gets to break my spanking record
dude - and there are worse things than even blogging while drunk and one would be blogging while unemployed -
gotta love the quick editing freedom though
leaving the job has been actually quite promising - i got interviews with the high end jobs i applied for- all starting at a higher wage - and learned quick - Vegas has a lot of beginning businesses, not a lot of experienced people with longevity in Vegas, and not a lot of professionalism - i am hoping to hear back on one i really want on friday. But if not, i have other interviews and i really just got lucky that it happens to be in high demand right now.
i honestly had no clue, yet wise to the industry well enough to know it isn't going to be changing anytime soon-
my dad always chewed my ass to find a decent profession such as start learning the mapping software and AutoCad, because he got lucky that as he got older he was now being fought over by rival companies - coming up through the ranks of the office and then into surveying - he became the most knowledgeable and presentable representative for engineering firms with survey teams - sorry, but i have the authority to say that he also has a strong advantage in the depths of Geeeorgia by not wearing flannel in the summer or gunning the crew truck in the parking lot.
i think he would really be proud after totally surprised, too
and i hope my mother will be pleased - fuck, don't forget Mother's Day, guys!- that not long ago, infuriated with the job, i was struck one day by the thought:
if my mother were treated in this manner, i would slap someone -
i should have walked away then
but things are looking good
i got job references from old friends that i had met working there, caught up,
got offers,
i'm not freakishly scared like i was when i wanted to leave and felt i couldn't
i'm not tethered to many things in my life that i couldn't help any longer
and most of all
i'm happy
best of everything to everybody,
but especially me
oh, and joel
